We are seeking a talented Mid - Senior User Experience Designer to support Greggs in delivering an exciting suite of innovative, greenfield products that will ensure that both digital and physical in-store experiences including in-store kiosk ordering, click and collect and customer loyalty apps work seamlessly for our customers and colleagues to deliver a great experience.

On a day to day basis you will be:
  • Working with the rest of the product team to understand the needs of our customers and users.
  • Helping to contribute to the User-Centred Design practices at Greggs and championing design thinking to help educate and communicate to the wider team as to why design is important.
  • Repeatedly creating and testing hypotheses in short cycles to incrementally evolve and improve our products.
  • Designing and collaborating with user research.
  • Producing wireframes, UX flows, low fidelity mock-ups, interactive prototypes and design specifications.
  • Collaborating with engineers

Skills

We’re looking for someone that:

  • Has a detailed knowledge of UX and User-Centred Design practices and the proven ability to use the appropriate methods and tools to create usable and delightful experiences.

  • Has a portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving skills.

  • Is adept at using qualitative and quantitative data and insight to inform design thinking.

  • Has a solid understanding of Google Analytics, AB testing tools and User Research best practises.

  • Understands accessibility best practices.

  • Is skilled in the use of various software tools, such as Adobe CC, InVision, Sketch etc.

  • Has a keen eye for detail - you’re a bit of a pixel perfectionist.

  • Has experience designing for desktop, tablet and mobile.

  • Enjoys bringing the wider team along with them and has experience communicating design decisions to the wider team and stakeholders.

  • Has experience working in an agile environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience conducting user research with non-technical users.

  • Experience in front-end development.
