An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Forecasting and Replenishment Team based in Newcastle.  The F+R team have made great in roads over the last year managing availability and stales across our shop estate but the journey is constantly evolving as they are always looking for ways to improve.  This role involves managing the F+R system, being  the team lead for MI developments, managing key events across the year and looking for ways to improve shop forecast accuracy.  The role demands strong analytical and mathematical skills, they should be strategically focussed and will provide guidance for the F+R team through detailed product and shop analysis.

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000

Work Pattern

Full Time, typically Monday to Friday, but some flexibility may be required 

Job Description

Retail focused managing shops forecasts, local and national events across the Greggs estate.

Develop, implement and utilise the F+R systems to maximise forecast and order accuracy and provide expert knowledge and support to the wider forecasting team. 

Responsible for developing and producing daily, weekly and monthly MI and analysis to support the teams in decision making, and to provide updates to the business on performance. 

The role will be analytical and strategic focused providing guidance on many aspects which will improve forecast and order accuracy to meet and exceed availability and waste targets. This could include (but is not limited to) weather, ranging, order amendments, forecast accuracy and shop segmentation. 

Skills
  • Confident personality and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Highly numerate with strong PC skills and experience of using and creating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical and logical skillset.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Results focused with a go get it attitude.
  • Thinking and problem solving skills, with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure, for instance managing several tasks at once and in a short space of time.
  • Previous knowledge of SAP systems
  • Good understanding of commercial business environment, especially sales, marketing, finance, retail and operations and IT.
  • Degree educated, in an analytical, business or maths based subject.
