We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join us at our site in Gosforth Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne on a Permanent basis

Pay rates

Circa £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and shift pattern

Shift pattern

This is a Permanent and Full Time role (40 hours per week) working the following shifts on rotation:

Monday to Friday day-shift 07.00-15.00

Monday to Friday back-shift 15.00-23.00

About you

You'll fit right in at Greggs as a Facilities Assistant if you:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a facilities discipline i.e Plumbing or Carpentry
  • Have painting & decorating experience
  • Have some building work experience
  • Have general facilities work experience
  • Have gained some electrical experience along the way (not essential)
  • You are able to meet shift requirements
  • You are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good
  • You are a great team player - respectful and appreciative towards our Greggs Family
  • You are friendly, honest and hardworking and enjoy some fun at work!

What you'll do

As Facilities Assistant you'll safely maintain and improve site facilities, fabric and services, economically by delivering maintenance excellence through planned preventive maintenance, repairs and good record keeping, adopting a proactive approach to site standards.

You'll work collaboratively within the Engineering team in a professional and efficient manner, including their Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, Team Members and other departments.
