£9.32 per hour initially, rising to £9.78 per hour upon completion of training (Plus shift premiums where appropriate)

About you


Our Warehouse Hygiene Operatives are the pinnacle of the warehouse to ensure that we maintain our Operational Effectiveness and keep all staff safe at work.  Adhering to the high food safety requirements in all areas of the business, is key to the success that Greggs has become.

Our hygiene operatives are an essential part of our warehouse teams.  They are not only relied upon to keep a clean and tidy warehouse, but to ensure that the warehouse has all the clean equipment needed to get our products to the shops.  It is a busy role in a fast paced environment

What you will do:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, as well as front of house.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all the outside areas.
  • Operate Industrial cleaning machines.
  • Be responsible for the correct recycling of all on site waste.
  • Ensure all staff have clean, hygienic uniforms ready for daily wear.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the onsite engineers.
  • Ensuring hygiene and health and safety standards are applied for all staff on site.

What you'll do

  • Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • The ability to carry out your tasks independently as well as working as part of a team.
  • A hands-on approach to your work and a keen eye for detail.
  • To be supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising that difference is good.
  • To be friendly, honest, hardworking, supportive, considerate for others and respectful.
