So what will you get?

Our Retail Apprenticeship Programmes last for 12 months and we pay our apprentices the same as other team members

A permanant role, with guaranteed contract of 30 hours for the duration of the programme

Your apprenticeship works towards an externally recognised Retail Management qualification, along with English and Maths too (as well as ICT if you're in Scotland)

Plenty of support from your Manager and Greggs Retail Trainer, as well as an hour a week to study, monthly reviews and ability to take part in Retail workshops.

Level 2 Retail Apprenticeship

We’re not looking for any formal qualifications, but you will need to demonstrate you have the ability to offer excellent customer service, have good communication skills, good time keeping, be well organised and be able to work as part of a team.

Training provided includes:

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Retail Skills (Management)

Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics

CIEH Level 2 Food Safety

Internal Greggs training programme

Level 3 Retail Apprenticeship

This role will suit a candidate who is passionate about developing a career in Retail, specifically with the UK’s leading bakery food-on-the-go retailer. Candidates should be self-motivated with the ambition and drive to complete the required learning.

This is a 12 month programme designed to offer you a career path to our retail management positions. This programme offers successful candidates the opportunity to work towards the completion of a Retail Diploma Level 3 and to progress into the role of Supervisor.

We’re looking for evidence of your ability to lead a team whether that is social, academic or role related. Preferred candidates will have GCSE’s Grade D or above in English and Maths or have an equivalent recognised qualification. You will need to have the ability to offer excellent customer service, be IT. literate, have good communication skills, good time keeping, be well organised and be able to lead a team.
