Career progression.
You’ll gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to have a great career within Retail, with the opportunity to progress into a retail management role at the end of your apprenticeship. You’ll also receive 20% of your working time to spend on studying for your apprenticeship including workshops, workbooks, e-learning and practical training, all with plenty of support from your manager and your Greggs Apprenticeship Coach.
A Recognised Apprenticeship Qualification.
Your apprenticeship works towards an industry recognised qualification, along with English and Maths too (as well as ICT if you’re in Scotland).
Level 2 Retail Apprenticeship
This is a 12-18 month programme where you will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours to move into a junior retail management position. The programme will cover 16 modules including those on customer, communication, marketing and how you can perform even better in role. This role is challenging as you will be expected to both work and study hard. We will however give you all the time and support that you need to succeed.
This role will suit a candidate that is passionate about gaining a role in retail management and has the drive to progress their career. Successful candidates will be ready to take on a senior team member position on successful completion of their apprenticeship.
We’re not looking for any formal qualifications but you will need to be able to show willingness and commitment to your apprenticeship as well as skills in customer service, communication and organisation. Suitable candidates should not have prior qualification in retail at level 2 or above.
Training includes a Level 2 Retailer qualification and the required level of Maths, English (and ICT in Scotland) qualifications (if not already achieved).
Level 3 Retail Apprenticeship
This is a 12-18 month programme where you will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours to move into a retail management position. The programme will cover 15 modules including those on customer, leadership, developing yourself & others and finance. This role is challenging as you will be expected to both work and study hard, taking on additional responsibility at key stages in your apprenticeship. We will however give you all the time and support that you need to succeed.
This role will suit a candidate that is passionate about gaining a more senior role in retail management and has the drive to progress their career. Successful candidates will be ready to take on a supervisor position on successful completion of their apprenticeship.
